Following additional charges will be levied in case of service being provided in remote/disturbed/hazardous areas or where ESM security personnel are not local residents of the State: -- Field Allowance @ 25 percent of Basic Pay plus VDA will be entitled to ESM security personnel when working in remote/disturbed area such as North Eastern States, J&K etc or when working in areas hazardous to health such as Coal Fields.
- When ESM security personnel are not local residents, they will be entitled to an additional allowance of 5 percent of Basic Pay plus VDA. This implies that if field allowance is entitled and ESM guards are also non-residents, the security guards will thus be paid 30 percent pay of Basic plus VDA as additional allowances.
- The agency providing the services in coal fields/remote/disturbed areas will be paid additional two percent as service charges.
- In case the Principal Employer wants the Supervisor / Asst Security Officer /Security Officer to visit the guards on vehicle, the employer should either provide transport or transport allowance based on the nature of duty, prevailing rate of fuel and distance covered as mutually agreed by the employer and the agency.
