In case a threat is perceived then the employer including Banks may request for armed security guards. In which case the principal employer will obtain a licence for weapons and ammunition, procure these and make them available for use by the security agency. The employer may also request the security agency to provide armed guards to be deployed at sensitive areas of their establishment, in which case the director of the agency will recruit ESM having licensed weapons to meet the requirement. The employer and the agency will make reports of such employment to the SHO of the local police station. All aspects brought out in para 31 of these instructions will be adhered to while deploying armed guards. |
