How to apply?
Apply to DGR after retirement. Forms are issued and collected same day. ESM are required to enclose tow photographs and a photocopy of their discharge book.

Till what time ESM can apply for this time?
There is no time period for application for F & V Shops for Ex-Servicemen. One can apply till 55 years of age.

F & V Shops are allotted within how much period after selection?
F & V Shops are allotted as per the choice of area indicated by the Ex-Servicemen at the time of selection and there is different waiting period for different areas. Presently on an average waiting period is approximately 6-12 months.

What is security deposit?
Security deposit is Rs 50,000.

Do we get interest for deposit?
Yes, interest is paid for the security deposit.

Does an ESM get the security back?
Yes, Security is refunded on termination of contract.

What is the period of contract?
Initially contract is for one year. It is renewed every year thereafter subject to performance of Ex-Servicemen.

Can Ladies also allotted F & V Shops?
No. Ladies are not allotted F & V Shops.

Can dependants also apply for F & V Shops?
Yes, F & V Shops are allotted to dependants of ESM where Ex-Serviceman is not medically fit to undertake the job and where Ex-Serviceman has died while not alive to support the family.
