ALLOTMENT OF OIL PRODUCT AGENCY UNDER 8% DEFENCE QUOTA SCHEME
1. Oil Product Agencies
 
a. LPG Distributorship.
b. Superior Kerosene Oil (SKO/LDO) Dealerships.
c. Petrol/Diesel Retail Outlets.
d.

‘Kisan Vikas Kendra' dealerships.

2. Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has reserved 8% of Oil product agencies for the following categories of Defence personnel in order of priority as given under.
3. Categories
 
a. Widows / Dependants of Posthumous Gallantry Award Winners.
b. Widows/Dependants of those who died in Military Operation / war.
c. Disabled in War (Disability 20% and above).
d. Widows/Dependants of those who died in harness due to causes attributable to Military Service.
e. Disabled In Peace (Disability 20% and above attributable to Military Service).
4. Eligibility
 
a. Nationality : Indian
b. Age : Minimum 21 Years
c. Income : Not more than Rs.2.00 lakhs per annum (for category ‘e' only)
5. Partnerships. In case of partnership, all partners should individually fulfill the above mentioned eligibility conditions and all of them must appear for the Interview.
6. Procedures
 
a. Identification of Location.The location for developing retail outlets/LPG distributors is identified by the oil Industry after carrying out requisite feasibility study. If the location is found feasible, the same is Included in the Marketing plan.
b. Advertisement. On approval of marketing plan the Defence quota agencies are advertised under ‘Defence Category' in two newspapers, one in English Daily and one in Regional Vernacular Daily having maximum circulation In the Districts in which the dealership/distributorship is to be located.
7. Eligibility Certificate. The applicant should then approach the Dte General Resettlement for issue of Eligibility Certificate with the following documents as applicable:-
a. Certificate of deceased Defence person issued by Service Hospital/HQrs.
b. Proof of death attributable to the Military Service/duty.
c. Proof of Gallantry Award.
d. Proof of disability being attributable to Military Service/duty. CDA (P) letter mentioning about disability pension.
e. Pension Order (CDA (P) Letter).
f. Discharge Book/Retirement order.
g. Proof of Date of Birth.
h. Newspaper clipping of the Advertisement.
i. Copy of Identity Card issued by Zila Sainik Board/Rajya Sainik Board.
j. Affidavit In original on Rs.10/- stamp paper duly notarised stating that the individual is unemployed or if employed, will resign from the Job on selection for the agency and his/her annual income does not exceed Rs.2.00 lakhs (Rs.2.00 lakhs income clause applicable to category ‘e' people only), and has not re-married (in case of widow) and not married (in case of daughter/sister).
l. Relinquishment Deed, in case of dependants, from widow and other dependants (if any).
8. Application Forms Format of application forms is available in the newspaper along with the advertisement.
