The following benefits are also available:
- NOKs are entitled to Liberalised Family Pension.
- Govt married accommodation for 3 years.
- 3 percent reservation for AWHO houses.
- AGI Medical Benefit Scheme (Covered upto Rs 2 lakhs)
- Exemption of tuition fee and allied charges for children studying in Army Schools / Army Public Schools.
- 50 percent concession to Widows in domestic flights of Indian Airlines.
- 75 percent concessions to Widows in Second Class mail/express trains.
- Priority telephone facilities.
- Lump sum ex-Gratia payments will not be taxable under Income Tax Act.

| DDA Flats under ‘Vijayee Veer Awas Yojna’ |

Delhi Development Authority (DDA) under “Vijayee Veer Awas Yojna” has offered about 400 flats in Sector 18-A Dwarka for widows/next of kin/dependents of Army personnel killed in ‘OP VIJAY’ and to those permanently disabled and boarded out. |

| Badge of Sacrifice |

The Chief of the Army Staff has instituted a token symbol in the form of a “Badge of Sacrifice “. The Badge of Sacrifice, alongwith a certificate, will be presented to the NOKs of our brave soldiers who have laid down their lives in combat. The NOKs who will wear the badge with pride and the sacrifice made by the individual, as well as his family and will be recognised honoured and respected by all citizens of the country. |
